Yes, a friend lugged Romulus Buckle and the City of the Founders into the deep, dark jungles of Central America–now there’s a book reader for you! Here he is with the book in the shadow of the Arenal Volcano Near Fortuna, Costa Rica.
Rom Buck Reader 5 in the shadow of the Volcano
Despite being malarial and suffering from a poisonous Fer de Lance bite, my friend (let’s call him ‘Zara’) still managed to finish reading the book. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been heard from since.
Whew, it has been a busy week. I guess that is good for a release week, right? Romulus Buckle seems to be doing well (I should be able to see my actual sales on Amazon’s Author sales chart thingy tomorrow) and is currently holding at #1 on the UK Kindle sci-fi/steampunk chart, and hovering between #4 and #7 (after briefly peaking at #1) on our Amazon sci-fi/steampunk chart. You probably noticed that I have done a lot of guest blogs, Q&As and interviews, but that barrage is mostly over. I won’t be doing multiple blogs a day now, but I hope to keep the pace up and do at least one or two items a week for a while. I have a podcast interview coming up, along with some stops planned at Zoe’s Corner, Airship Ambassador and SF Signal. More on that soon.
Buckle got a nice book review from Bite My Book on Wednesday, and my guest blog at Steam Parrot and a Q&A with My Bookish Ways posted today (links for all to follow).
And now, meet some more of my youthful RomBuck Readers!
