Here is the cover reveal for the 3rd installment in my Chronicles of the Pneumatic Zeppelin steampunk series, titled “Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether.” As you may have guessed, this story takes place largely underwater, in a steampunk post-apocalyptic version of Atlantis. It’s a fun one! (Publication date still TBD, probably December 2014).
After a cover and author introduction on Monday and my guest blog on Tuesday (“The Nautilus in my Steampunk” http://www.bitemybook.com/2013/07/guest-blog-richard-ellis-preston.html), Michala at Bite My Book was kind enough to give Romulus Buckle & the City of the Founders a thorough review at http://www.bitemybook.com/2013/07/book-review-romulus-buckle-city-of.html#more (awarding it a handsome 7.5 out of 10). Drop by and take a look. She has very nice things to say.
By the way, today is the RELEASE DAY for my first novel, Romulus Buckle and the City of the Founders, and so far it has been fun. A lot of great people have helped make this book happen, and a lot of great people are being exceptionally supportive. Thanks to everyone.
Here it is again – fly, steam baby, fly!
The cover for Romulus Buckle and the Engines of War, Book Two in the Chronicles of the Pneumatic Zeppelin series, has arrived.
Romulus at the helm in battle, wonderfully rendered by the series cover artist, Eamon O’Donoghue, whom you can visit at eamonart.com if you’d like to see more of his work. I love both the City of the Founders and Engines of War covers–it will be exciting to see them land on bookshelves somewhere, anywhere, on any planet.
47North has scheduled Romulus Buckle and the Engines of War for release on November 19th, 2013. Book One in the series, Romulus Buckle and the City of the Founders, steams onto the scene on July 2nd, 2013.
